What are some of positive and negative effects of the plantations
There were more protestants in Ireland, there was a bigger population, the settlers brought new farming techniques, the settlers builded more houses, the settlers were taking all the jobs that gave the biggest salary
Why should planters go to Ireland
There is enough pig to breed 20,000 in the woods for bacon and pork and the profit would be worth £3,000 or £4,000 a year, oatmeal can be made there in great quantity and brought to London. Butter and cheese may be made in great quantities and bring great profit.
Where was the plantations sent to
The plantations were Sent to 6 counties in Ulster mainly Donegal, Londonderry, Tyrone, Fermanagh, Cavan and Armagh.
Was the plantations a success for James?
Yes because he makes Ulster mostly Protestant
Was the plantations a success for the planters?
Yes because they got good well paying jobs as well as land
Was the plantations a success for the Irish?
No because they were getting kicked of there land by the planters and were getting attacked

Yes because there is a new better religion and now Ireland will get help from the uk if they get attacked
