Q

Seed formation

A
  1. Seeds are formed from ovules. Each seed contains a dormant (inactive) embryo plant.
  2. The embryo plant has a food store which it uses when conditions are right- when it starts to grow (germinate)
  3. The ovary develops into a fruit around the seed. Fruits can tempt animals to eat them and scatter their seeds in feaces.
