What does a Site Engineer do?
A Site Engineer sets out the site dimensions and plots sites safely ensuring the positioning of services such as gas, electricity and drainage.
What does a Site Engineer produce?
A Site Engineer produces site plans including the position of drainage.
What are the responsibilities of the Site Engineer?
The Site Engineer has the following responsibilities -
Report to the site manager any health and safety concerns.
Plot any existing services to avoid hitting wires and causing a dangerous occurrence.
Provide quality inspection of the work.
What does a Safety Officer do?
A Safety Officer regularly visits the site and focuses on compliance of health and safety. They observe and report on the procedures and processes that are in place.
What does a Safety Officer produce?
A Safety Officer produces reports on what they find. They provide feedback on how to improve.
What are the responsibilities of a Safety Officer?
The responsibilities of a safety officer are -
Identify workplace risks and ensure the site knows how to deal with them.
Ensure that control measures are in place and being adhered to.
Show managers how to implement health and safety procedures through training session and workshops.
What does a Specialist Sub- Contractor do?
A Specialist Sub- Contractor provides solutions to foundations and piling, structural steel, concrete frames, roofing membranes, windows, coatings, waterproof membranes and finishes and furniture.
What does a Specialist Sub- Contractor produce?
A Specialist Sub- Contractor provides solutions to foundations and piling, structural steel, concrete frames, roofing membranes, windows, coatings, waterproof membranes and finishes and furniture. They will fix any defects with the above.
What are the responsibilities of the Specialist Sub -Contractor?
The Specialist Sub- Contractor will comply with the instructions given by the main contractor.
Co-ordinate the other contractors.
Adhere to the health and safety of the site.
