General tips for receptive skills lessons:
1. Before each reading / listening task make sure students know their objective. Give clear instructions and ask student to repeat back their tasks, being the easiest way to check this

  1. Make sure that that text, dialogue or recording level is appropriate for students. Vary the speed at which they listen or the amount of time they have for reading to alter the difficulty level. However you must start with an understanding of your students capable level.

General tips for receptive skills lessons:
3. As a teacher you may be responsible for making copies and preparing audio equipment. Teaching EFL is a job that requires some office work and a large amount of this time is spent preparing class materials.
