To ensure everything is as secure as possible, limit passenger injury and a quick evacuation can be carried out
What’s the cabin preparation checklist for evacuations?
-headset stowed
-Tray tables and foot rests stowed
-Spectacles and false teeth removed
-Sharp objects stowed in cabin bags
-put on warm clothing if appropriate
-galley power set to off and water supply cut off
What does ABP stand for?
Able bodied person
Where should an ABP be seated?
In an exit row or moved to an exit row if possible
How many ABPs should be at each door?
4
If you have extra ABPs what should they do?
Sit with and assist disabled passengers, nervous, elderly etc
In the event cabin crew open the exit ABPs should be advised that:
(GROUND)
-2 people at the bottom of the slide assisting people to their feet
-2 people move passengers to a safe area as far away from aircraft as possible
If cabin crew become incapacitated what should you brief the ABPs on?
-Remove crew member from seat and lay on the floor near the door
-Open the door- advise to check outside conditions are safe first
-Manual inflation procedure if required
-When/why/how to direct passengers if required
-First ABPs to evacuate should take CC member with them
In the event cabin crew open the exit ABPs should be advised that:
