The ocean is the largest saltwater surface. The sea is smaller saltwater surface.
What is the difference between an island and a continent?
Piece of land, smaller than a continent, surrounded by sea.

What are polar ice caps?
Ice covering large areas at the north and South Pole.

Special layer of air. Extends 600Km above earth,s surface.
Contains gasses needed to breathe.
Also acts as a blanket, keeps surface warm enough for living things to survive.
What is a planet?
A large object that moves around a star.
What is a star?
Object in space that gives off own light.
What is the Sun
A bright star that gives light and warmth to earth.
Does the moon have its own light?
No. It is a cold, round object that moves around the earth. It gets its light from the Sun.
What is the difference between revolve and rotate?
Revolve is when an object in space goes around another one. It takes the earth 365 days to revolve around the sun.
Rotates is going around on its own axis.
The earth rotates every 24 hours.
What is an orbit?
The path the object travels on when it is revolving.
Why do we have day and night?
When our part of the earth faces the sun, we have daylight

No, it is full of craters (a round hole made by something that has fallen into it.)
