Saggital
A
A vertical plane that divides the body into right and left halves. Situated right down the middle of the body.

Coronal/frontal
A
The plane that divides the body into anterior and posterior portions.
At a right angle to midsaggital plane.

Parasagittal
A
A vertical plane that does not pass through the midline. It divides the body/organs into unequal left and right portions.

Horizontal/transverse
A
A horizontal plane that divides the body/organs into superior and inferior portions.

Oblique
A
A plane that passes through the body or an organ at an angle between the horizontal plane and a vertical plane (I.e. Coronal, midsaggital or Parasagittal)
