Connects yolk sac to midgut lumen
Vitelline duct (omphalo-mesenteric duct)
usually obliterated in 7th week
Meconium discharge from umbilicus
Vitelline fistula
Partial closure of vitelline duct with patent portion attached to ileum. May have ectopic gastric mucosa –> Melena, periumbilical pain, and ulcer
