Direct channel: Right from manufactures/service provider to the customer (Ex tangerine bank)
Indirect Channel: From manufacture/service to wholesaler and or retailer then to customer Wholesaler(Coscto) retailer (Circle K)
3 ways channels function
Vertical direct (Internet and phones)
Vertical indirect (Brick& mortar retail efficiency via Every day low prices. Producer-wholesaler-retailer-consumer)
Horizontal (producer to retailer to consumer) skip the dishes
there can be hybrids

Distribution channel 3 strategies:
Delivering the positioning
Intensive distribution- Many places. Lower price. Like nissan.
Selective - Some places, ish price, Like BMW
Exclusive- Few places, expensive, Like Ferrari. (Position and Disitrbution)
