When are PivotTables used?
A
-most beneficial when you have large datasets or a variety of planned or unplanned types of analysis to perform
- You have a large set of transactional information that needs to be analyzed in a variety of ways, or you expect frequent change requests to your analysis
- You need to find relationships, groupings, or trends using various time periods within your data
- You need to find a list of unique values for one field in your data
- You require new additions to subtotals
- You need to organize information into a format that is easy to read

What are the 4 regions/areas of the PivotTable?
A
-row area, column area, data area, and page area

A
contains the data that you would like to calculate

-the types of data you want to drop here are things you want to GROUP or CATEGORIZE, such as PRODUCTS, LOCATION, or NAMES
