When are PivotTables used?

A

-most beneficial when you have large datasets or a variety of planned or unplanned types of analysis to perform

  1. You have a large set of transactional information that needs to be analyzed in a variety of ways, or you expect frequent change requests to your analysis
  2. You need to find relationships, groupings, or trends using various time periods within your data
  3. You need to find a list of unique values for one field in your data
  4. You require new additions to subtotals
  5. You need to organize information into a format that is easy to read
