A
Sciative nerve which runs deep to or pierces the piriformis muscle

Describe the course of the piriformis
A
Originates on the anterior lateral sacrum
Pass through greater sciatic foramen
Inserts on superior greater trochanter

What injectate should be used?
A
3-4 mL of local anesthetic w/ or w/o steroid

A
Axial oblique from cephomedial to caudolateral over the piriformis muscle
