What is our basic setup against the Pirc (1.e4 d6)?
A
We do NOT play d4. We use our Sicilian Grand Prix Attack setup: Nc3, f4, Nf3, Bc4/Bg5.

What do we play against the Pirc Modern (1.e4 g6)?
A
We again play the GPA setup: Nc3, f4, Nf3, Bc4.

What do we play against the Pirc Black Lion (Modern Philidor: 1…d6, 2…e5, 3…Nf6, 4…c6)?
A
We again play the GPA setup, but with a different move order: 3. Bc4, 4. d3 to not gambit a pawn with 5. f4. This move kills Black’s planned kingside attack.
