he helps one to speak in the assembly and he helps them deal with their beastie fears logically
describe piggy and Ralphs relationship
at the beginning of the novel, piggy voted ralph to be chief “grudgingly”, but as soon as he gets to know him he sticks by him. he gives ralph advice e.g. when he tells ralph to “come away”. he remains faithful in ralph.

in chapter 1, piggy mentions the ongoing world war to ralph, implying that nobody survived. as the boys rebuild society on the island, it gives us a image of what the world could look like post-catastrophic event and what rebuilding society would be like. the fact that the boys fall to similar traits and tribalism that leads to war it doesn’t suggest great optimism for mankinds ability to get back on track after a global catastrophe.
