What is the etiology of PID? (6)

A
  1. Microorganisms= gonococcus & chlamydia (mc), mycoplasma, trichomonas, tubercle bacilli, E.coli, virus, actinomyces, bacteroides fragilis, clostridia
  2. Post-abortal & puerperal sepsis
  3. Minor operations= DnC, Hysterosalpingography
  4. IUCD insertion in septic condition
  5. Pelvic peritonitis
  6. Sex workers, multiple sex partners
