Q

Fetal shunts

A
  1. Ductus venosus: bypasses liver, becomes ligametum venosum
  2. Foramen ovale: directs oxygenated blood to brain. Closes after birth
  3. Ductus arteriosus: pulmonary artery to aorta (bypasses lungs). Becomes ligamentum arteriosus
