Physics Equations Flashcards
I will pass all my exams!!!
How do you calculate resistance from a graph?
Resistance = 1/Gradient
Equation for thermal energy transferred:
Thermal energy transferred = Mass x Specific heat capacity x Temperature change
Acceleration? (+ unit)
Change in velocity / Time (m/s^2)
Final velocity, initial velocity, etc.
Final velocity^2 - Initial velocity^2 = 2 x Acceleration x Distance
Change in kinetic energy:
(Mass x (V^2-v^2)) /2
Gravitational potential energy:
Mass x Gravitational field strength x Height
Power, Current, and Resistance
Power = Current^2 x Resistance
Work done, Charge, and Voltage
Work done = Charge x Voltage
LDR - resistance?
As light intensity increases, resistance decreases
Thermistor - resistance?
As heat increases, resistance decreases
Diode - function?
Only allow current to flow one way. Converts AC electricity to DC.
Voltage, Current, and Resistance
Voltage = Current x Resistance
Charge, Current, and Time
Charge = Current x Time
Energy, Current, Voltage, and Time
Energy = Current x Voltage x Time
Power, Current, and Voltage
Power = Current x Voltage
