Physics Flashcards
What do the suspensory ligaments do in the eye?
They hold the ciliary muscles and lens in place
What do the ciliary muscles do in the eye?
Contract to make the lens rounder when viewing close objects
Relax to make the lens thinner when viewing distant objects
What does the retina do in the eye?
An image is formed on it, It then sends electrical impulses to the brain. It’s made from light sensitive cells.
What does the iris do in the eye?
It changes the size of the pupil to control the amount of light that enters the eye
What does the cornea do in the eye?
The cornea is transparent so light can enter the eye. It also helps focus light onto the retina
What does the pupil do in the eye?
The pupil is the hole in the centre of the Iris that light passes through.
What does the lens do in the eye?
It changes shape to help focus light to form an image on the retina

Protostar, main sequence star, red giant, white dwarf, black dwarf
Give the lifecycle of a large star
Protostar, main sequence star, red super giant, super nova, (either) neutron star or a black hole
