What is The Actual Mechanical Advantage? (AMA)
The AMA measures the mechanical advantage taking into account all mechanical losses sustained throughout the machine. It is the ratio of the output force to the input force

What is The Ideal Mechanical Advantage? (IMA)
IMA is the measure of mechanical advantage for an ideal machine.
