It’s called inertia an object in motion tends to stay In motion and an object at rest stays at rest unless a force acts upon it

A push or a pull on an object
Newton’s second law
If forces on an object are balanced the object doesn’t move whe the forces are unbalanced the forces move
Newton’s third law
Every action has an equal and opposite reaction
