Physical Science Flashcards
Radiation
Radiation is heat transferring though electromagnetic waves.
Convection
Convection is heat transferring though a gas or liquid
Physical property
A physical property of an object is a property that does not change the chemical nature of matter.
Physical change
Physical change is when an object goes from one state to another but its chemical make up is the same.
Chemical property
A chemical property is a properties that are only observable during a chemical reaction.
Chemical change
A chemical change is when substances combine to form a new substance.
Speed
To calculate speed you do Distance
———-
Time
Friction
Friction is a force between two surfaces that are sliding, or trying to slide across each other.
Newtons 1st law of motion
A object will stay at rest until a forces acts upon it this is called inertia.
Newton’s 2nd law of motion
Is when two forces on an object is are balanced, the object does not move. When forces are unbalanced the object moves.
Newtons 3rd law of motion
Is every action there is an equal and opposite action.
