Q

What is chemical weathering?

A

the interaction of rock with mineral solutions to change the composition of rocks. In this process, water interacts with minerals to create various chemical reactions and transform the rocks.

Q

explain these types of coastal erosion:

1-hydraulic action
2-abrasion
3-attrition
4-solution

A

1-water compressing air into cracks.
2-rocks carried by waves to destroy cliffs.
3-rocks becoming smaller and rounded due to erosion.
4-soluble particles transported by constructive waves.

Q

explain the four types of coastal transportation:

1-traction
2-saltation
3-suspension
4-solution

A

1-boulders getting smaller by banging of eachother
2-repeatedly bouncing of the sea floor
3-little pebbles swimming around
4-fine dist like particles floating through the ocean
