Q

describe the four main types of hard engineering :

1-sea wall
2-groynes
3-gabions
4-rock armour

A

1- stop water from getting past the wall and damaging anything behind the wall
2- stops long shore drift from moving around
3- rocks in a metal fence to absorb wave energy
