What is modulation ?
A
A way of varying the voltage of electrical charge moving through the cable. It allows devices on either end of a link to understand that an electrical charge in a certain state is a zero, and in another state is a one.

What is a link ?
A
Connectivity between two devices, including the type of cable and the protocols used for one device to be able to communicate to another.

A
Twisted pair of copper wires.

What is dupplex communication ?
A
A concept that information can flow in both directions across the cable.

What is half-duplex communication ?
A
While communication is possible in each direction, only one device can be communicating at a time.
