Define Physical Activity
bodily (musculoskeletal) movement leading to caloric expenditure
Define Exercise
movement done for improvement in one or more components of fitness (aerobic, resistance, and/or flexibility).
Define Physical Fitness
a group of characteristics a person achieves/possesses related to physical activity and the components of fitness.
What are the components of physical fitness?

Define Body Composition
the ratio of lean body mass compared to fat mass (Adipose Tissue)

the amount of force a muscle can exert in a single all-out effort (1 Rep Max or 1RM)
Define Muscle Endurance
muscle’s ability to perform repeated contractions at sub maximal force or hold static contractions

increases capacity of heart, lungs, and blood carrying vessels to deliver oxygen; also termed aerobic fitness

focus on enhancing quality of daily life and preventing disease through daily moderate-intensity physical activity.
