Universität = also known as die Hochschule. To enter, you need to pass the Abitur (German) or Matura (Austria and Switzerland). You take the Arbitur during Gymansium (grammar school also known as Kantonsschule in Switzerland and Lyceum in South Tyrol). A specialty school is called a Fachschulen or a comprehensive school is a Gesamtschulen.
