What is photosynthesis?
Process of a plant making food for itself which is glucose

What is a producer?
Species that make there own food (photsynthesise)

How are plants adapted for photosynthesis?
Plants have organs such as stem and leaves to help them
Where does photosynthesis mainly take place?
In the chloroplasts
How does water get into a plant?
Water diffuses through the root hair cell then is transported around the plant through a tube called xylem
How do gases get in and out of a plant?
On the underside of a leaf there are tiny holes which allow gases to diffuse into the leaf.
How can you see that a plant is photosynthesising?
Bubbles will rise in th beaker of iodine and water when testing for starch

Light intensity
Temperature
Carbon dioxide
How does light intensity affect the rate of photosynthesis?
The higher the light energy the faster the photosynthesis it will get faster until it reaches its maximum rate
How does carbon dioxide affect the rate of photosynthesis?
The more there is the faster photosynthesis
How does temperature affect the rate of photosynthesis?
The higher the temperature the faster the rate of photosyntheis
