Folds at the top of the throat that produce sound as air moves over them.

Parts of the vocal apparatus involved in speech production.
Active Articulators
Articulators that can be moved.
Passive Articulators
Articulators that cannot change position.
Consonants
A speech sound that is made by closure of vocal tract.
