What is the main difference between broad and narrow transcription

A

Broad transcription ignores as many details as possible, capturing only enough aspects to show how that word differs from other words IN THE SAME LANGUAGE

Narrow Transcription ignores as FEW details as possible and uses diacritics to make very subtle distinctions between speech sounds
