Philosophy of AI Flashcards
What is AI?
AI refers to the development of machines that can exhibit intelligent behaviours in controlled environment
Weak AI
Machines designed to act intelligently, without the claim they are truly intelligent
Strong AI
The goal to create machines with minds, like humans, possessing genuine intelligence
The aim of technological AI
To achieve practical tasks
The aim of Scientific AI
To model and understand human and animal intelligence, like simulating the human brain
Learned Bias
Refers to biases that are formed through experiences or societal influences over time
Data Bias (Statistical Bias)
Happens when the dataset used to train AI contains errors or imbalances that reflect real-world inequalities
Subjectivity - matter of taste
Based on individual preference
Subjectivity - conscious experience
what its like for an organism to experience a certain state
