the process by which an object acquires a new form
Infinite regression
a chain of events that goes backwards forever
Efficient cause
that which causes change and motion to start or stop. In many cases, its the thing that brings something about
Beings
not just human beings but anything that has property
Property
nature or character
Contingent beings
beings that depend upon something else for their existence
Necessary beings
beings which, if they exist, can’t exist; beings which aren’t dependent on any other for their existence
Principle of sufficent reason
there is some sort of explanation, known or unknown, for everything
Actual infinity
a completed unity e.g. an actual infinity of time would be an infinite number of moments in the past and future
