informal worship is the type of worship many christian families have at home such as saying grace before meals , having family prayers and celebrating the festivals of the christian year
what is private worship?
private worship is when christians have the opportunity to talk to god and think about their faith by praying in private, or reading the bible on their own
why is it important to have different types of worship ?
public worship gives a sense of belonging to a whole community of believers, liturgical worship helps christians worship god in a familiar way so that worship becomes a part of their lives, worshipping at a set time gives order and purpose and means that god is never forgotten

people ordained for religious duties in christian churches

the people assembled for worship
what does extempore prayers mean?
prayers said without preparation
what does lectionary mean?
a list of bible readings to be read at certain times of the year
what does liturgical year mean?
the year in the church’s calendar based on the special festivals from advent to pentecost
