what kinds of passivity phenomena are there?

what is the difference between catatonia and catalepsy?
tonia-abnormality of movement and behaviour from disturbed mental state
calepsy-trance or seizure with LOC or loss of sensation
what kind of perceptual disturbance may not be a sign of mental illness?
illusion-a misinterpretation of a real stimulus
what is a delusion?
fixed unshakeable belief that is out of keeping with the person’s cultural/religious background and you cannot convince them that it is irrational. over valued idea-can be dissuaded from or is in keeping with culture

global reduction in quantity of thought
what are the extrapyramidal symptoms?
akithisia, acute dystonia (sudden movements of eyes, neck, larynx), tardive dyskinesia (smacking of lips, chewing) and pseudoparkinsonianism
what is a capgras delusion?
someone has been replaced by an imposter
what is a delusional perception
a delusion that arises from a real stimulus
