- H Influenzae
- Klebsiella pneumoniae
- E coli
- Burkhodheria cepacia
- PSEUDOMONAS AERUGINOSA (particularlly hard to treat - can become resistant to multiple antibiotics) - the reason it is now discouraged to have group meet ups for children with cystic fibrosis

- Nebulised Tobramycin
- Oral ciprofluxacin

Causes of Type 2 resp failure
A
- Airways obstruction (COPD, v severe Asthma)
- Alveolar hypoventilation
- Emphysema
- Obesity (e.g. in sleep apnea)
- Reduced resp drive (e.g. on opiates)
- Muscular weakness (MND)
