Pharmacology Flashcards
Fasudil versus imatinib (gleevac)
Fasudil is a rho-kinase inhibitor and imatinib is a tyrosine kinase (c-kit and PDGF) inhibitor. Both are shown to reduce or reverse remodeling associated with pulmonary hypertension.
What does quinidine do the AV conduction
Prolongs the H-V interval
Beta blocker selectivity
Betablockers Acting Exclusively At Myocardium:
Betataxolol, acebumetol, esmolol, atenolol, metroprolol
What is urodilatin?
Similar to ANP produced in the kidneys in the renal distal tubules. Function to regulate sodium and volume. Urodilatin decreases the refining secretion from the macula dense and inhibits aldosterone release from the zone glomerulosa and ang II stimulated proximal tubular sodium and reabsorption
