Q

What is the pharmacology and action of adrenaline? 4 beta1 actions, 1 beta 2, and 1 Alpha action.

A

Adrenaline is a naturally according alpha and beta-adrenergic stimulant.
Beta 1:
Increase SA node rate (increase HR)
Increase conduction velocity through AV node
Increase myocardial contractility
Increase irritability of ventricles
Beta2:
Causes bronchodilation
Alpha: causes peripheral Vasoconstriction

Q

What is the pharmacology and action of atrovent?

A

Anticholinergic bronchodilator.

Allows bronchodilation by inhibiting cholinergic bronchomotor tone (blocks vagal reflexes which mediate bronchi constriction)
