What are the doses for midazolam for adults and peads?
Adults: 10mg IM can repeat 10 mins once only
Peads: large child (>25kg) 5mg IM (1ml)
Small child (10 -24kg) 2.5mg (0.5ml)
Infant (5-9kg) 1mg IM (0.2ml)
Newborn (<5kg) 0.5mg IM (0.5ml)
What is the dose for stemetil for adults?
12.5 mg IM once only
What are the doses for adrenaline for adults? In cardiac arrest, anaphylaxis and asthma?
Cardiac arrest: 1mg IV every 4 mins.
Anaphylaxis: adult >60kg 500mcg
Adult <60kg 300mcg (elderly/frail)
Repeat 5mins until side effects occur or satisfactory results.
Asthma: 500mcg IM repeat 5 to 10 minutely max 3 doses.

Critical Asthma: 10mcg/kg every 5 to 10 mins max 3 doses.

IV: up to 50mcg repeat up to 50mcg 5 minutely. Max total 200mcg.
What is the adult dosage of glucagon?
1 international unit IM.

Patch: 50mg patch which gives 0.4mg per hour.
Tablet: 300mcg if pt has never had it before.
