Self-injurious, aggressive behaviour
Lithium is licenced
Evidence for naltrexone is minimal and conflicting
Should be used for those refractory to other treatment options

EEG advised prior to commencement given increased risk of seizures in people with LD
Cautioned in people with epilepsy + LD, given increased frequency of convulsions at therapeutic doses and marked epileptogenic activity in OD

Anti-libidinal may be used in the case of sexual offending (e.g. cyproterone acetate, medroxyprogesterone, which reduce testosterone levels), under specialist guidance
