Q

Why is it not recommended to co prescribe nicorandil and sildenafil?

A

The action of sildenafil is vasodilation, allowing increased blood flow to the penis. Nitrates and nicorandil also cause vasodilation therefore this can lead to a large drop in blood pressure.
