Systematic Theory and body of Knowledge
Is the result of a didactic education received in the various professional schools and continues through out the life of the professional as he or she is required to maintain competence through continuing education. Members of professions are expected to have extensive theoretical knowledge into use that knowledge when they provide service to society.

Professional authority and special privileges
It is the professionals ability to practice in his or her area of expertise as well as being afforded the opportunity to provide services to the public, services that the members of the public cannot presumably perform for themselves. The client surrenders a portion of his or her autonomy to the professional, because the client technology is the superior competence of the professional to do the job that the client cannot do. The client trust the professionals judgment about which course of action will best meet the client needs.
Community sanction and social utility
Social utility means that the professional provides a service that is a great importance to the society. Sanctions means that there is a licensure and a professional title involved.
Ethical codes and internal control
The professional excepts responsibility it is accountable through not only the law but also his or her profession. This goes beyond the laws to maintain a particular set of conduct within the profession. Self policing…. The members of the profession have a strong internal control over their members and this helps avoid external control. Bad internal regulation is when they have extra laws imposing on their profession.
Professional culture and organizations
It is including values, norms, signs and symbols. Organization play a very important role. The organization involved members of the profession and helps promote the profession and support members in their activities in their ability to practice as the professionals.
