Greek and Roman era’s
Start of government being involved in health
Came up with ways to ensure cleanliness with their food water and waste to help prevent health issues.
Definition of health
State of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity
Medieval era
Bubonic plague was carried around by rodents because the fleas lived on the rodents. Humans were infected because the rodents would die and the fleas would seek another animal to live on. Bubonic plague epidemics occurred several times during this era.
Sanitary era
Chollera was infectious disease that they thought came from gas coming off of waste and garbage. The people didn’t know what it was or how to prevent the sickness so a lot of people ended up dying from this disease.
