Serum creatinine
eGFR
Serum electrolytes (sodium, potassium)
Check within 2-4 weeks of starting therapy or increasing dose, then atleast annually throughout therapy

Heart rate
Maintain above 55 beats per minute
List 4 parameters that should be monitored when a patient is taking diuretics for hypertension
Serum creatinine
eGFR
Serum electrolytes (sodium, potassium, magnesium)
Uric acid (if gout is suspected)
Check within 2-4 weeks of starting therapy or increasing dose, and then at least annually throughout therapy
