Bendroflumethiazide
Uses and side effects
Thiazide diuretic - (also causes vasodilation)
Uses:
1) Hypertension (2.5mg OD)
2) Mild heart failure (5-10mg OD)
S.E postural hypotension hyponatraemia, hypokalaemia, hypercalcaemia gout impaired glucose tolerance impotence fatigue pulmonary oedema pneumonitis
Amikacin - Type, S.E. Uses
Aminoglycoside antibiotic
Joint infections, intraabdominal infections, meningitis, pneumonia, sepsis, and urinary tract infections. It is also used for the treatment of multidrug-resistant tuberculosis
Can cause hearing loss, balance problems, and kidney problems
