Why do we need PGDs?

A
  1. Supports self care
  2. Improves choice, convenience + access to treatment
  3. Medicines are provided at NHS expense for those in inclusion criteria/exempt from prescription charges
  4. Provides access + support to patients alongside treatments
  5. Improves primary care capacity (e.g. decreases GP workload)
