Q

What is annihilation reaction?

A
  1. Initiated by decay of a nucleus of an unstable isotope having too many protons. 2. Protons are turned into a neutron and a positron and emits a neutrino. 3. The positron will interact with an electron and annihilate each other emitting the energy as 511 keV photons in each direction
