Halo Effect
Tendency to judge all aspects of person’s bx on basis of single attribute or characteristic
Central Tendency, Leniency, Strictness Biases
Tendency to assign average ratings to all ratees; tendency to give all ratees positive ratings; tendency to assign all ratees negative ratings
Contrast Effect
Tendency to give ratings on basis of comparisons to other ratees

When it focuses less on rating errors and more on accuracy, i.e., teaching raters to recognize multiple contributors of good job performance and to evaluate bx in an objective way
