General characteristics of personality disorders
Helpful in the treatment of psychotic decompensations experienced by clients with paranoid , schizotypal and borderline personality disorders
Antipsychotic medications
Used with borderline personality disorder, decrease impulsivity and self-destructive acts; reduce anger, impulsiveness and mood instability
SSRI antidepressants
May be useful for the violent episodes observed in clients with antisocial personality disorder

Obsessive - compulsive PD
Feel cheated and unappreciated ; negativistic attitudes; passively resist fulfilling routine social and occupational tasks
