Right Whale Sightings
Yachts cannot approach closer than 500 yards of a Right Whale.
Those on bridge watch have a responsibility to keep a lookout for the whales.
Contracts
Ensure a written contract stating:
- Compensation, including gratuities

- PTO/Holidays
- Probation periods (Norm. 3 months)
- Dismissal conditions

May be asked to take a periodic drug test
US Coast guard requires random drug testing on a random basis after a marine casualty or serious marine incident
