Methodology

A

Structures interview- all questions decided in advance all Ps asked same questions in same order to ensure validity and allows for quantitative and qualitative data. However, there may be interviewer bias by the way questions are asked, could emphasise certain words communicate expectations, Ps may feel less comfortable verbally communicating answers rather than writing in a questionnaire

Opportunity sample of friends and family ages 16-60 this is more cost effective and less time consuming than random. However there is a chance of bias, cannot he generalised

  1. Inter-rater each interviewee goes through same process and instructions
  2. Correlate findings from each interview to ensure they all produce similar results. The judgements of each interviewer compared to resolve any disagreements
