What is cognitive behavioural learning?(CBT)

A

It is a therapy that can be used to treat anxiety and depression by using theatrical foundations in classical conditioning, perant conditioning and observational learning. It views undesired behaviour as learnt and makes sense that it can be unlearnt and can be replaced with desired behaviour

Q

How could CBT be modified to meet different people’s needs?

A

Through CBT, the therapist and client collaborate to change the client’s environment, help learn new skills and modify their thinking patterns. The therapist must tailor to client’s needs as there is not 1 strategy that fits all. This varies on diagnosis, age, willingness and personality.
