How many charts will be needed for the professional development section? What are they?

What is the importance of referencing the UBC Strategic Priorities chart for this section?
To align those goals using the UBC strategic priorities and think about how their goals will impact the Brotherhood
What is the “professional gap”?
That space between where you want to be and where you are.
What is the purpose of the post it notes on the personal development activity?
For the participants to write down three or four things (1-3 on each post-it) that could help them attain your goal by addressing the issues in your professional gap. The more specific, the better off they will be!
What should the participants do after they have put their post it notes on the charts at the end of Saturday?
Walk around and look at what others have put on the charts, they may be able to add more thoughts or ideas to the charts.
What info do we need to give to apprentices at the end of day Saturday?
(Distribute Shuttle Schedule, Review Checkout Procedures) Remember to check in with your Point People at 6:30 A.M. Program will start in the breakout room at 7:30 A.M.
How do we start out Sunday morning?
Give participants some time to refresh and look over charts before you get into the second half of the development plan and remind them to add more thoughts.
After participants have walked and reviewed the charts on Sunday morning what is the next step to the development plan process?
Participants then grab their participant guide and fill in the 3 blank spots under self, education, opportunity, education, by using their charts or their own responses. Be sure they fill in all sections.
What is the importance of the grid exercise?
To evaluate each of your 12 actions based on “Importance” and “Ease of Execution”.
How long do we give them to chart their plan?
About 10 minutes.
What is the goal of the grid exercise?
To draw a target group that links 3 or 4 issues for development.
